Directions Out Theatre Company
Welcome to Directions Out Theatre Company where we bring creative and vibrant theatre to people and places that other theatre cannot reach. This company is attached to the Stanislavski Studio and allows graduates and students alike the opportunity to get hands on experience in productions, touring and theatre making. Directions Out provides

From the start Directions Out Theatre Company was determined to champion the work of Irish and contemporary writers, bringing new theatre experiences out into the communities.
This resulted in a small company of professional actors and theatre makers who created small scale theatre presentations to local theatres and smaller venues.
Over the years Directions Out Theatre presented the work of Deirdre Kinahan, Brian McAvera, etc.

Following the success of the Stanislavski Studio to train and prepare actors and theatre makers to enter the professional world, Directions Out Theatre Company opened a new venture: Pop-Up Theatre.
The idea was simple: take trained actors and students from the studio and DIT courses and offer them a start in the industry alongside established professionals and experienced theatre makers.
The Pop Up Theatre company boasts an international cast and creates theatre that challenges as well as delights.
As part of Directions Out Theatre Company's core values, the company now offers a cross border touring company to bring genuine co-operation and artistic collaboration to both parts of Ireland with an eye to creating new artistic and emotional ties between our communities.
With Productions that explore the human condition and incorporates historical and contemporary themes, the Crossborder Directions theatre initiative isn't building a bridge but a proscenium arch for Ireland.

Theatre is an essential component in the community and has as much right to be part of local culture as music, visual art and dance. With this in mind, Directions Out has facilitated community arts programmes, plays and tours with an eye to blending Studio students, professional theatre makers and people from community arts groups to engage in arts events in their locale.
Such events included Shakespeare in the Park tours, Bloomsday Breakfasts and local performance guided tours to bring people back in touch with their cultural heritage.
